Aakriti is a belly dance artiste, performer and a first generation professional instructor in India. She has been studying this art form since 2005 and became certified by international Master Teachers over the years in different styles of Belly dance. Her journey started with Egyptian and Tribal Fusion belly dance but since past few years she is researching & creating a fusion style of belly dance like Indian Fusion, Urban Fusion, Belly-wood.

She  became an instructor with India's first belly dance company called Veve Dance (Mumbai) in 2009. Since then, it has been an adventurous journey of learning, performing & choreographing at various prestigious festivals and events in India and abroad. She regularly travels in India and Internationally to spread the knowledge to more people and build a strong community for this art.

Apart from regularly teaching she also performs solo as well as with her team across India and abroad and has had some exciting collaborations with India's Got Talent(2013), Miss India Pageant(2015), Kala Ghoda Festival(2014), Mumbai Festival(2012), Jaipur Literature Fest(2014), NH7(2015), Kolkata Fit Expo(2016&2019), Mrs India Bengal(2018&2019), Mrs India Pageant(2018&2019) and various more.

She has also taught celebrities like Deepika Mehta (celebrity yoga instructor), Reenie (musician), Malvika Sitlani (make up artist)
